Hello everyone, I had the same problem, an error while expanding files error code : 0xD. The file expansion was still a little bit slow about 2 or 3 minutes but it worked. Hope this could help future readers.

On older operating systems always pops up an error when it cant read the disk and would just burn a fresh one and use that so when no similar message on win 7 i just assumed was something else Nice one. Same thing you can see what to choose but it goes nowhere. Windows System Restore don't work - Can't find 1 and there are over Windows Recovery Disc will not work - It just sits there after you choose an option. Discs made on that pc. It's odd. At the stage where you got your failure, I doubt that the installation had even began examining your computer requirements - but who knows. Maybe in some way, your previous OS was hogging some resources there and left little for the installation requirements.??? Full installation was complete with no problems.
